Small silicone candy molds (hearts, stars, flowers)
👩🍳 Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Make the Fresh Juice: You need pure juice for the best candy texture. Blend your kiwis with a quarter cup of water. Do the exact same thing for the grapes. Pour the blended fruit through a fine strainer to remove all seeds and thick pulp. For the oranges, just squeeze them until you get about half a cup of fresh juice.
2. Boil the First Flavor: We will make one flavor at a time. Put your kiwi juice in a small cooking pot. Add 1 oz of sugar and 1 tsp of agar-agar powder. This powder is a great plant-based ingredient that makes the jelly set quickly. Bring the liquid to a boil. Let it bubble gently for exactly 2 minutes while you stir it.
3. Fill Your Molds: Agar-agar sets very fast at room temperature. Because of this, you must pour the hot juice into your silicone candy molds right away. You can use a small dropper or a spoon to easily fill the fun shapes.
4. Repeat for Other Flavors: Wash your pot and do the exact same boiling step for the orange juice and then the grape juice. Fill the rest of your molds with the bright yellow and red colors.
5. Let Them Set: Leave the silicone molds alone until the candies cool down and become completely hard. Pop them out of the molds when they are ready. They will look glossy, beautiful, and ready to eat.
💡 Tips for Success
Always strain your fruit juice very well. If there are seeds or thick fruit pieces in the juice, your candies will not be smooth. Work quickly when pouring the hot liquid into the molds. If you wait too long, the jelly will turn hard right inside your cooking pot.
🥡 How to Store
Keep your fruit jellies in a closed box in the fridge. They taste amazing when they are cold and refreshing. Since they are made with real fresh juice, try to eat them within a few days for the best flavor.
