👩🍳 Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Prepare the Fruit: Peel your mandarins and kiwis. Wash your fresh strawberries. Cut a small flat piece off the top and bottom of all your fruits. This helps them stack perfectly straight inside your cups.
2. Stack in Cups: Choose tall cups that have straight sides from top to bottom. Stack your cut fruits right in the center of the cups. The fruit should sit flat on top of each other.
3. Cook the Jelly Liquid: We will make one flavor at a time. Put your milk, sugar, and agar powder in a cooking pot. Whisk them together over medium heat. Keep stirring so it does not burn or stick to the bottom. When the milk starts to boil, turn the heat to low. Let it gently bubble for exactly 1 minute.
4. Pour and Chill: Take the pot off the stove. Let the hot milk cool down for just a minute or two. Carefully pour the milk mixture into the cups right over your stacked fruit. Put the filled cups in the fridge for about 1 hour so the jelly gets firm.
5. Slice and Serve: Take the cups out when the jelly is totally firm and cold. Gently run the tip of a knife around the top edge to loosen it. Shake the cup side to side a little bit until the jelly slides out. Cut the jelly log into thick slices to reveal the beautiful fruit inside.
💡 Tips for Success
Use a cup that is just a little wider than your fruit. This gives you the perfect amount of milk jelly around the fruit. Also, agar powder sets very quickly as it cools. Do not wait too long to pour the hot milk into your cups or it will get hard in the pot.
🥡 How to Store
Keep your beautiful fruit jelly slices in a closed box in the fridge. Because they are made with fresh fruit and milk, they must stay cold. They taste best when eaten within two days.
