👩🍳 Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Bake the Chocolate Cake: Whip the eggs and sugar for 3 minutes until they are fluffy. Fold in the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder. Carefully mix in the melted chocolate and melted margarine. Spread the batter in a baking tin. Bake at 170°C for exactly 9 minutes. Let the cake cool completely.
2. Make the Fudgy Dough: Crumble your cooled chocolate cake into a bowl. Add the 40g of butter to the cake crumbs. Knead everything together really well until it forms a soft dough.
3. Hide the Strawberry: Make sure your fresh strawberries are completely dry and the green tops are removed. Take a piece of your chocolate cake dough. Press it firmly around a strawberry. Keep the natural strawberry shape. Put them in the fridge for 10 minutes to get firm.
4. Secure the Sticks: Dip the end of a cake pop stick into some melted white chocolate. Push the stick gently into the top wide part of your cake-covered strawberry.
5. Dip and Decorate: Melt your purple, white, and pink chocolate. Dip the whole pop into the chocolate to make a smooth shell. Add some glitter stripes or sprinkles before the chocolate dries. Make tiny green leaves using the green modeling chocolate. Stick a leaf at the top near the stick to make it look real.
💡 Tips for Success
Drying your strawberries is the most important step. If the fruit is wet, the cake dough will not stick to it. Also, dipping the stick in melted chocolate acts like glue so the heavy cake pop does not fall off the stick.
🥡 How to Store
Keep these cake pops in the fridge because they have fresh fruit inside. They taste best when eaten within one or two days while the strawberry is still fresh and juicy.
